About Nic*Rad
I make paintings, objects, drawings, projects, performances, and love poems. I would like to have a child with James Ensor, Daumier, Chuck Jones, Spalding Gray,Tom Sachs, Angela Dufresne, and then settle down in the Weimar and pine for less grotesque, immaculate times.

My work focuses on media currents, culture consumption, and my own sloppy feelings. I draw subject matter from platforms like Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, 'The Internet,' as well as barrooms, ballrooms, bathhouses, whatever New York City.

The things I make and often their means of distribution are metaphors, totems, reliquaries, jokes, remixes, riffs- sometimes poetic, sometimes silly, but always intricate pleas for your most peculiar affections. I'm terribly interested in the nuances and scale of attention. Stalk me and I'll stalk you back <3
